Pediatrics

Paediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. A paediatrician provides medical care for children, who have an acute or chronic illness and also preventive measures for healthy growth and development. They manage physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the children.

Paediatric specialists obtain additional education and training in specific treatments and diagnostic procedures. They have a wide range of responsibilities from conducting regular well-child check-ups to diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries and other health conditions. They are the prime doctors who take care of the childhood vaccinations too.
